Absolutely not. Are you serious? Because I exceed the speed limit by a few mph you guys think I am unsafe? I am parked with engine off, maling calls and checking emails.

I like red light cameras. If another idiot runs a red and hits me, I want the photos

The controller of the city Los Angeles did a study on how much the city actually makes on these red light cameras. Her analysis is that the city actually loses money on them and the company that operates them are the only ones that make money. There is a move underfoot to remove them from LA.

I am fortunate to live in one of the states that actually outlawed them, we don't have any of them anywhere...

I wish a similar move was underfoot here, but at the rate they are installing them here, I think they are making great money.
I'm not paying the tickets, they aren't summons or anything. I'll see what happens when I have to do my trucks registration.

I am going to go out tomorrow and slam a handful of mud on my rear tag.

You do know there are companies around that make either films or plate covers that mask your plate so the cameras can't read the plate unless it is at the same level as the plate, the cameras that are on the pole can't read it...and with the film it is not even detectable...even though we don't have the cameras here in Montana, I have the film on my plates, so that I can't get zapped when I visit my relatives in WA and OR..

Unfortuantely, they don't work.

I wish they did because I am certainly not a fan of these cameras. If their sole purpose was safety that would be one thing but they are revenue enhancers and I have a huge problem with that.

I don't think I've seen any bragging....

Definitely haven't seen that....

But if I do see anybody trying to morn (or would that be "hanging a morn"?), I'll ask them to stop!!....:D;)

Check your hairpiece. I think it got parted when the clear reference to pi$$ng and moaning went by.

Actually I was just trying to lighten the mood after an unnecessary and pretty over-the-top post.
For your benefit, if I try that again, I'll use larger text and smaller words....

Shouldn't have tried to calm things down...never works...:D

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too.

I'll have a hard time sleeping tonight, imagining all the awesome food I will be tearing up tomorrow.

I'll start my diet Jan 1st, yeah, that's the ticket

Re: Speed/red light cameras

They have them in ABQ where I used to live. The one in my neighborhood got paintballed into oblivion on a daily basis. ;):D ABQ is pulling most of them down nowadays. They do however abuse the little white van with the photo radar that sits usually around a blind corner right where the speed limit decreases 10 mph. That sucker got me three times in two years at 3 over, and I had to pay them all at $100 a pop because I was driving a Co. truck and they were mailed to my boss. $100 for 3 over on a four lane highway is pretty rediculous.:mad::mad:
