I think I've identified the problem though. It is relatively common knowledge that you are suppose to anchor/dock with your bow into the waves. When you put the stern of your vessel into the waves like that, you'll sink everytime :facepalm:
This is my 1st time seeing this train wreck...
I can only shake my head in disbelief that they thought the could rescue that SUV when every wave sent it another inch into the sand burying the back end of that puppy.
what kills me is driving in the surf in the first place. In salt water, you are dipping your car in battery acid. And when you have suspended sand, all your moving parts like brakes grind to a halt. Even driving hard dry beach is like driving in a demolition derby--lots of fun but not so good for the car even if you're careful.
I suppose this video is made on a fresh water lake, with all the traffic in the water.
