I have looked at my trailer and the only place I think I can mount the spare tire is lying down in front of the center tube, just behind the winch stand, anyone else have a suggestion?

Welcome to iBoats! :welcome:

Nothing wrong with mounting the spare there as long as it doesn't interfere with anything.

You can start posting pictures on your 4th post.

Gramps,
welcome to the forum.

As stated above, you can mount it anywhere it doesn’t interfere with anything else. I have had trailers with horizontal and vertical spare tires. I prefer the vertical spare tires on the starboard side of the trailer. The reason for this is beacause they are easier to get to and they are on the non traffic side of the trailer which is safer when you are on the side of the road trying to change a tire.

That is a pretty good track record. I don't think I am convinced.

If anyone has anything to say to the contrary, I hope they respond to this before I hit year 50.
