I need to replace my starboard exhaust riser and am having a hell of a time finding a new part online. Anybody have a source for a new 3855269 exhaust riser, or a great condition used one?

Somehow this is a different part number than the generic OMC/Volvo standard height elbows used on V6 and V8s. Is there a bracket mounted to the side of it? Crowley Marine says that part number is NLA, and I saw that the more generic Barr Marine elbows can't be used on the Ford engines with EFI....
Looks like GLM makes the part but out of stock. Maybe try ebay.

Thanks guys. I have a query out to 2040, but haven't heard back. All the hits I get on my internet/ebay search end up being out of stock. I've had two orders refunded. I'm going with what hopefully is a lightly used manifold/riser combo for now.

Would it be beneficial to soak the lightly used exhaust parts in oxalic acid, or similar, to remove any internal corrosion?

Thanks @ChrisinPHX, I didn't see that spendy new one.
This shortage is making me wonder if I should consider moving to a GM motor with carb.

The GM stuff is certainly more common. Anything VP isn't cheap either, shortage or not, but their outdrives seem pretty bulletproof compared to Mercs. Looks like that new one is in B.C. and you are in WA so I guess it's not too bad. Seems like everything I need for my Arizona boat always comes out of WA, FL, or the New England area. Shipping costs just kill.

you can keep the Ford motor get a cast iron intake & a Holley 4160 for much less, parts for those are available....

Thanks Lou for the input. Are you implying that non-EFI Ford risers are more plentiful?
