That whining noise is too much for me.
Me too! There is nothing like the sweet sound of a well tuned combustion engine. A buddy of mine has one of the big trucks with a twin turbo diesel. It’s fun to hear them whined up sometimes but it gets annoying after awhile.

Maybe now is the time to start buying 2 stroke outboards and stashing them in the garage to sell 20 plus years from now, when everything, go green push falls apart. of course im not because im not leaving anything to my family they might make money on after i die. lmao

I am deeply concerned about gran kids information processing capabilities.

Normally information goes in by the ears gets processed and the output is out the mouth .

today any request not posted on an Iphone screen lacks basic processing and generates the same answer all the time .... What? still out the mouth but inconclusive!

ex: Did you take out the garbage? what ?
Did you do your homeworks ? what ?

Electric cars had a range of maybe 20 miles just a few decades ago. Now they easily go 300 miles without a recharge and I for one will not be amazed at all if that becomes 1000 miles + within the next 10 years while the only thing holding it back being big business trying to stop that innovation because they invested too much in current technology.
It will be the same for boats

I commend the attempts to push the envelope, but . . . it seems that certain things needing a lot of power (boats, airplanes, etc.) just are currently not good candidates for electric power.

I would enjoy replacing my 7.5 hp Mercury for the dinghy with an electric version, but not my primary boat that needs 500+ hp to come up on plane.

The power concentrated in fuel is tough to beat in some applications.
