Somebody STOP ME.

Given the economy and the rising price of fuel I made the decision I was going to back away from so many project boats this year. Back away as in try and sell the current inventory and not buy any more until I see where the market is going.

So how come I still comb through CraigsList everyday? Why did I just spend the last 48 hours making a 1200 mile round trip to buy a pair of 454 Crusader engines and drives when I don't even have boats to put them in?

(Both engines where completly rebuilt, ran on a dyno and created up and delivered to the owner who has decided to install 572 crate engiens and new drives. I bought both engines and drives for $3500 and gas money.)

Anyone know of a good 12 step program? I think I need help. :redface:

From what you are saying the boss is saying, you better turn them around quickly, and buy her something nice with the profit ... maybe then she will let you buy something else!

I really dont have any wise words of advice. Any time I find a good deal on something I grab it as fast as I can. As others have said here if you can buy something nice for the wife and still have a little bit of profit, after a few times she will be encouraging you to look for deals. I have done it numerous times with old cars.

A friend of mine also told me about a site called searchtempest.com, this site searches all of craigslist,ebay, and I think several other sites. Makes it easier to search craigslist. Ya this probably isnt helping you with your problem is it?

Uh huh, not sure flowers and candy will cut it at this point although they should be part of the package.
