Solved -Pipe Thread Compound on Fuel Pump Fitting

I 've got a V-6 Merc Fuel Pump that I have rebuilt. Does the 3 - way gas hose fitting get pipe thread compound? I did not see any residue when I took it off. If so, would a TFE Paste work? Although not my fuel pump, it's #20 on the diagram. Thanks, Rob

I went with the Blue Permatex, don't use the red, you will have to heat the part up to separate.
