I have a 1989 50 hp johnson that i use premix with since the oil pump went out. I use the six gallon plastic tank with a new line w/ bulb for a johnson motor that runs fine unitl the bulb collapses. Any suggestion for a fix will be appreciated.

I had something similar happen recently. I just replaced the line and bulb and the bulb kept collapsing. As it turns out the primer bulb was defective. It was from one of those cheap kits you can get at Wal-Mart. Go to a Marina and buy a nicer kit.
