Turned out I needed balljoints and a idler arm? So that's done and next week I get a front end alignment as I don't want to pay for new tires just because I was too cheap after a front end job. Also ordered premium black drilled and slotted rotors and free ceramic brake pads for the front. The old cheap rotors and pads didn't even last more than 1 1/2 to 2 years on the front.I had almost 170k out of the original front end and that's pretty good considering about 100k or more is logging and rough dirt roads. Though my f150 is a 2003 4x4 its needed less parts than my brothers 2007 ram 1500 hemi, which has every part underneath replaced and the motor also which the oil pump decided to stop working and seized her up big time.(ouch).

Had a blast today.

My daughter and family blew up their basement, septic, water and power line trenches after having a contractor drill lots of holes and pump explosive down them.

My granddaughter pulled the trigger after being instructed by the experts.

The whole ground lifted up in the area and some dirt shot way up. The ground in the area is now up to 8' higher.

Will be back moving dirt and rocks.

Mr rude; you might get a surprise when you mess with the calibers. My '03 S/C had plastic caliber cylinders; were near impossible to compress. If they don't push in easy; they will hang up.

New to this topic...
Had a good weekend actually..
(Forgive the pics... Colors are off because of having to resize for uploading...)

Rearranged the boats...
The one in back was where the one in front is, and the one in front was where the grass on the left of the tree is.. LOL)
My truck is parked in front of the boats and to the right of the tree...
This looks much better.. haha..
boats_rotated.jpg
The one in the back is my now "Retired" boat.. Has a 50ESL71 (Johnson on it.. )
Transom is cracking, and I'm in process of deciding if I rebuild her or not.. Engine runs good, so keeping that either way..
It's actually backed as far as possible to the property line.. Neighbors yard behind that..

Front one, is a new to us Jay-Bee with a J115TLEOR

Then, worked on a new to us rider mower...
Got if "Free"...
Yeah.. We know how that goes.. LOL!
Well, new fuel lines, filter, added some oil, new battery and new rear port tire.. It ran and mowed...
All in all, about 100 US to get it to mow the grass today.. Has an oil leak actually..
That's the next thing to look at, but it's not too bad, so I'll keep an eye on the oil till I can diagnose the cause and fix it..

Next up! Proof it mows.. LOL!!
Have to trim the edges, but this was just a trial run.. hehe..
cut_grass_rotated.jpg

And finally,
My better half set up the foundation of her outdoor sitting area..
sitting_area_rotated.jpg
Still a lot she'd like to do here, and it's FAR from finished, but this is the start of it..

Been a busy weekend...
OH!!
We finally got our 2018 fishing licenses this weekend too!!
Hopefully will be taking the boat out SOON for some fishing!!
Had/wanted to get this stuff taken care of first though.. :D

Hope everyone else had a good weekend!!

Suppose to be in the 90's today. Need to fix the L/M; (pushed it backwards with the brake on). Would like to finish the shelf I put on a tree; (no nails in tree). And need to get the boat out to repair pedestal seat base that pulled out. waiting on the Sun to crack.

Drove back across the state today after a weekend shrimping.

Saturday worked hard to get our limits.

Sunday went up to the San Juans and got our limits. First pot was a bonanza with 175 shrimp in it.

The drive is more tiring than a day working.

Geez 3 hrs to put front brakes and rotors on today.Bad backs suck!At 90 to 120 hr labour rates though I will putter along and suffer as long as I'm able to do what needs to be done and its not above my abilities.I guess the days of pulling a motor and tranny and replacing in a day are far behind me ,lol.I use to enjoy doing stuff like that.

I feel your pain in more ways than one. Back, eyes, and patience are not the same as they were a I am closing in on 80. The first thing I quit doing my self was exhaust systems when I was in my late 50's. Now just keeping up on my old tractors, boats, lawnmowers, and construction equipment takes me twice or three time the time it used to take. If I need my truck done in a hurry it goes to the local shop. If I can do without it for a few days I still will do the major work myself.

I know what you mean, It's harder packing around 100 lb rocks than it used to be. At 75 I still don't have much back trouble but I tire more easily and efficiency seems to have disappeared.

Beats the alternative.

I now buy my chicken feed in 50# sacks. It is just too much trouble to get out the wheelbarrow to haul a 100# bag from the truck to where it goes. I blew a disk in my back 2 days before my 60th birthday playing in an adult hockey league where the average age was between 21 and 35 years old. Add arthritis of the spine along with disk degeneration and I just ain't the person I used to be.

Remember that back pain! Took over a year to recupe from a fall in the garage. No 100 lb. rocks for me either.;

Got L/M to work; (Enough to cut grass; still not right). Worked on shelf; boat tomorrow.

K, I'll bite...what is "L/M" ? You have mentioned it several times and I am banging my head trying to figure out what you are talking about...my best guess is a tractor...hopefully that leads to a comedic result...
