So, do you think we're crazy?

Sitting here looking through the i-boats forums it occured to me that boaters in general must be a little of center. We indulge in a hoby that consumes allot of our time, involves often cranky, picky, tempermental, fussy equipment, spend allot of cash on it, have issues with our other halves over it, yet we love doing it. Does this make us nuts? Some might say yes, what do you think?

Where I come from we call that being "half a bubble off plumb". I lucked out and got a lady that loves boating. She actually bought me the boat as a birthday gift. However, she does make fun of me for always tinkering with it. With a nice day and some water, all the maintenance you could ask for and memories to be made, whats not to love about this hobby? Does that make us crazy....Or genius.

Sure we may be a bit crazy for what we do for boating, but look at the things we do for women. They can be even more cranky, picky, tempermental, fussy and we can spend a lot of cash on them too! But at the end of the day, it's so worth it! haha!

Questioning ones sanity is a sign of sanity. I my self prefer to do what the voices in my wifes head tell me to. We fight less that way. Right now they are telling me I need to finish up some maintenance so we can get on the water and keep her happy.

I talk to folks who have lived here in Michigan their entire lives, and still have not ever been on a boat, or gone to the beach on one of the big lakes. Now that's just nutty.

Nothing better than boating, being out on the lake, river, ocean, nice breezes, warm sun, cold beverage, salted P-nuts, fishing, swimming, etc....You'd have to be crazy NOT to love it, and when you get off the water you can mess with the boat and motor. Ain't nothin' like it!...

Boating, fishing, water sports-

Are these not the things people do to relax?

When I get out there, last thing I want to do is work on the boat, but we all know sometimes there are no ways around it.
