Well, if you had any actual CITY streets, with sidewalks, and buildings over 2 stories, you'd realize it is a big deal!
Peoria did a good job "clearing" main roads, but they are having real problems actually REMOVING the snow. So LOTS of it is left on the street, in kind of man-plowed median dividers. I also didn't see one City plow truck actually operating today, and I was on the roads for 11.5 hours and travelled 101 miles in Peoria.
Up north it can definitely be life threatening.I watch the international news every night and you certainly had had a lot of that white stuff.
I look at daNinga's pictures and it looks pretty cute and exciting, especially with the great blue sky.
Guess it is just an inconvenience as opposed to damaging - is that right?
Cheers

We had the snopile medians as well.
It's winter in the midwest. Snow if gonna happen.
But you gotta remember, in my mind the more snow the better.
Driving in it is best kind of driving!!!
This is true, I don't. But you can't blame the snow for bad driving. You must not drive a high centered, short wheelbase, 20,000lb truck for living. If you did, you would realize how difficult snow and bad drivers make it.
