Re: SNOWMEGGEDON How bad where you are??
Here's the news that has me concerned:
****According to the National Weather Service, 15 inches of snow fell on Peoria by 6 a.m. Wednesday. Fulton, Tazewell and Mason county snowfall amounts ranged from 14 to 16 inches.
"We didn't quite get the 20 inches expected," said Kirk Huettl, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Lincoln, adding that the accumulation puts the Peoria area at 50 percent above the norm for the season. "We're up to about 45 inches for the season, 30 inches above normal."
Temperatures will approach the mid-teens Wednesday, then drop suddenly this evening to -9 degrees. Wind chill readings could be between -24 and -14 overnight. A wind chill advisory will be in effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 12 p.m. Thursday.****
That bitter cold is going to make snow removal VERY difficult. It'll be DAYS before things are normal. I really just hope that the monster trucks coming for Monster Jam can make it okay, I have tickets for Saturday afternoon!
