smartcraft confusion

Hi there
I am new to this sort of thing, I am in need of your knowledge if possible
I have been fixing up an old runabout for years and Its getting close to the water at last.
I have bought some older style smart craft gauges non lcd, tachometer, speedometer, voltage and trim. I have a mercury 150 4 stroke 2013 and a 14 pin side mount control. All the gauges are just 3 wires, how do I come from a 10 pin junction box to a 3 pin? Do I need a system monitor?
Have I bought a load of incompatible gauges? What is missing?
I am currently waiting for vessel view mobile to arrive so its not the end of the world but I would like to get this cluster going if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for your time

Hi. All the gauges there should then feed into a harness that plugs into one of them. Then goes down to the network 4 way box into one of the ports. That 4 way box should have a feed from a plug on the engine. I also have the newer gauges, but also the vessel view mobile. The mobile device plugs into the 4 way box too.

Thanks for the quick response
So I need to run a cable from the engine as well as the 14 pin one?
All my gauges only have only 3 pins on them, is there a name for the cable that goes from 10 pin to 3 pin

I have another question from this, the speedo I have has nowhere for the pitot tube where does the tube go to from the lower end?

Not totally sure, but I think you can either use the pitot sensor from engine or a smart craft paddle wheel. I have both, but only use the paddle wheel sensor.
I don’t know what that harness is called, but I know the gauges all feed into it then at the other end…there is a plug going to the junction box. I’ll have a look next time at the boat. I have the below picture but doesn’t show properly. Some of my gauges have different connections to yours. But the others are the same.
Yeah. There should be a cable coming from engine smartcraft port to the helm area.

Thanks again
I have just tried the blue 10 pin cable with built in resistors from the engine to the junction box, still nothing
I notice that one of your pictures shows a gauge with the 10 pin plug, reading online has confused me a bit. Is it possible i need a gauge with the 10 pin plug?

Ok. I think what might be happening is…any unused ports on that junction box…need to have the yellow terminator blank fitted. If you aren’t using all 4 ports…any unused need to have this yellow one. I think your picture had one yellow and one purple blank ?
So do you have a cable from engine to the junction box ?
