Which rear end do these come with nowdays? 3.73?

3.42 on mine. Standard is 3.08, and the Max Trailering package is the 3.73 which is only available with the 6.2L V8 motor.

Gotcha. It seems the days of the 4:10 and 3.73 are fading. Both of my 5.3 's have the 3.73 but also were the last hurrah of the 4 speed tranny. Does it have the G80 locking rear as well? The G80 and some decent tires almost makes the fronts never needed. Think my front wheels have kicked in a handful of times over the years on the ramps. It's the cheapest overlooked option I think.

Both mine are GM SUV's...both 2007...but leftovers sold in 2008. Wife drives one and so do I.

Does it have the G80 locking rear as well?

it does come with a G80 locking limited slip differential.

They work well...it's a locker though not limited slip I presume. The limited slip on a GM is the G86 which was really on their midsized suv's such as the Trailblazer SS or the SAAB 9-7x and are both performance suv's so don't generally get off road exposure. Technically on the newer GM's, the stabilitrac system will act as a makeshift locker if you don't have a G80. Similar to how Toyota got rid of mechanical lockers at one point and used electronic versions.
I love GM suv's and trucks when you buy them slightly used and take advantage of the depreciation.
