1987 19ft Celebrity Calais Cuddy, 200hp V8 Mercruiser with Alpha One drive. Picked up about 3 weeks ago. Had it on the lake twice before winterizing. Great fun. Looking forward to Spring 2013! So are the kids!

I came across this old snapshot. It was my father's boat, but I practically lived in it summers when I was a kid. More adventures than you could imagine, lots of good memories. It's a Penn Yan of unknown vintage, I would guess 40's or 50's. It had been fiberglassed and leaked like a sieve by the time we replaced it in 1972. When I was real young, it had a Martin 7 hp on it that my brother tells me used to catch fire occasionally. I don't remember that part.:laugh: Seen here with a 1969 Johnson 9.5.

Here is my 1991 arriva I bought last spring. I absolutely love the boat it is in A1 condition and was out at least 4 times a week all spring, summer and into fall and did not have a single problem with it. Also have a 17' century raven waiting for a paint job and a 12 zodiac hard bottom lol. The wife says I have a boat buying problem and I am not allowed to come home with anymore boats for awhile. We'll see lol

Our 1998 Mariah Shabah 182 pulled up in the soft sand at the south end of Norfork late last summer.

This is my first restore, a 1965 Cherokee by McKenzie Boats of Tennesee. Powered by all original 1965 Mercury 500. We had it out on the Gasconade River several times last summer. First time out, I realized I had wound the steering cables backwards-talk about messing with your head!

When I picked up our last boat, they had hooked the gear shift up backwards! Sure wakes you up in a hurry when you go to back out of the slip for the first time.

This is the boat that had the gear shift incident. This is the boat that we are running now.

I've got the same problem... I bought and sold 5 boats this year. I just sold the 86 Commander Omega and now I'm down to the C-500 Metric and the 62 Owens Flagship (27' wood boat)

Where you'all store your boats? I got lucky to buy a house 6 months ago with a huge lot. I don't plan to stay here longer than 5-7 yrs though. So in the future, I probably have to keep beeing on the look out for big lot houses only.

I have a big yard and a double garage. Unfortunately, people around here (my family) like to keep their cars in my boat garage and the neighbors aren't big fans of my 62 owens flagship, but I lived here first so I win that one.

I haven't been able to figure out the George Carlin line, but that is actually a pic of a late friend/member/Moderator here and his pride and joy Gambler Les, Spinner, Spinner Bait Nut, SBN will always be held as a treasure here

Loving this thread and seeing all the great boats!

Here's our current "hole in the water"; 2007 Baja 26 Outlaw, 496magHO, Bravo X drive. Bought new in '08 we've really enjoyed it. Shown in "race trim" at the 2010 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout, and what we actually use it for at Elephant Butte, NM.
