It is a 1989 Henry O McKee made in Bolivia NC. <br />Not McKee Craft!!! The company was sold in early 90's and production stopped. She has a foam injected hull like Whaler and handles like a dream. 120 HpForce which has no serial # plate so I'm not sure of the age BUT it is not the original motor as there are 2 additional mounting holes that have been filled.

Thank you - I fell in love the day I saw it. She was parked under some pine trees in Virginia and totally black and filled with pine needles. But that shape jumped out at me. If you do a "dogpile search" for Henry O Mckee (not McKee Craft) you will get a few links. They are the only search engine I ever use. <br />Now I just need to find out what year my motor is. It is not original as there are 2 mounting holes that hvae been filled. The serial number plate is missing.

If I find something I like, I tend to stick with it. I bought my first 15-foot Starcraft American about 5 years ago, redid the interior, floor, stringers, etc. and liked how it performed so much that I bought another one - in a color my wife and I both liked:<br />(That's my 14-foot tin can in the background).<br />

<br /><br />And it always helps when the missus is all for getting ANOTHER boat, so last year we bought an 18-footer which is now making very slow progress in the shop. It'll also need the full treatment of new stringers, transom, floor, etc.<br />

<br /><br />And then there are the "toys"... 1982 CombsCraft with a 1955 Mercury Mark 20H Cornpopper on the back, among others...<br />

Here's my first boat, a 1987 Starcraft Medalist 1601 with a Merc 120 I/O.<br /><br />A friend of mine took these shots when we went out on Cayuga Lake one day after work.<br />

<br /><br />When we got the boat this summer it had a fair amount of oxidation. This is a little bit of the before and after. <br />
