Should my vent plate ever be below my hull?

So I have a 50 hp 2 stroke on a 15 ft glass tri-hull. I had put this motor on a year ago after rebuilding my transom and set my anti vent plant about even with the hull. It ventilated quite a bit, especially on turns. I decided to drop the motor down one hole and now the ventilation is gone. However, the anti vent plate is now about 3/4 inch below the hull. Is it ever acceptable to run a motor like that? I'm new to boating but from what I understand, you generally run the anti vent plate either even or above the bottom of the hull.

Having the Anti ventilation plate that low will rob you of some speed and efficiency. However, some hulls, especially ones that are a deep vee at the stern rise up in the water as you go faster. These tend to ventilate in turns.

The best you can do is to mount the motor as high as you can such that it doesn't ventilate in straight running or mild turns.
