I an in the process of repairing a transom leak and one of the things I may need to deal with are some voids that apparently wore into the gelcoat over time from the transom assembly. You can see at the bottom of the picture, the gelcoat has completely worn away down to the fiberglass. I'm thinking I need to fill those voids but was hoping to get some advice from the folks here. Thanks

Get one of those gelcoat kits and follow the instructions. Have used them on prior boats with some great success.

Grind them a bit to clean gel. Mis up some fumed silica with some gel to make a paste and fair the surface flat.

Same process as fixing spider cracks in gel that is in the stickies at top of this forum
