short shaft outboard on a 21" transom

recently bought a 20ft classic cuddy and would like to repower it with a newer 4 stroker. Found a really good deal on craigslist, only thing is it has a 16 inch shaft while my transom is 21", any way i can make this work?

Many folks do not know how to measure shaft length.-----If it is more than 60 HP a short shaft is rare !!----Post the model # of this 4 stroke.

seller did not reply with model number but it's a 2006 90hp Honda.

I think those are all made for 20" transom.

Craigslist people constantly advertise the wrong shaft length.

Have him measure from the bottom of the mount clamps to the top of the anti-ventalation plate.
