Shift Rod Length 100999S

Anyone know the shift rod length for a 100hp 1979 'rude?...and do I measure in neutral or reverse? My manual is unclear in this direction for some unknown reason...thanks in advance

'79 V4 L/S= 21-27/32 +/- 1/32<br /> XL/S= 26-27/32 +/- 1/32<br />Measure in nuetral.<br /><br />c/6<br />Hooty

Thanks Hooty...for some reason the number I had in my head was 21.6"...which is the same...so hopefully I will not need to drop the unit again when I install the p/h tomorrow...thanks again
