I've got a Johnson 2005 90HP. There are two cables entering the engine. It is difficult to see which cable is the shift cable. Is the top cable and trunnion for the shift?

Release the lock out on your control so it won't go into gear and have somebody move the throttle. The one that moves is the throttle, the other is the shift.
