Do I need to use bellows addheisive when installing the lower shift cable bellows?

Nope,.... Not near as much stress on it, like the driveshaft bellows....

I was thinking that would be a pain in the #%@ trying to get that on while its all sticky.......

It's actually easier to get them on with bellows adheasive. It acts as a lubricate while its still wet.

Got it on with no issues.

One more question.

Where is that cable protector belong. Not sure if where it was is where its supposed to to be.

Goes down where the cable come through the transom shield crosses over top the exhaust Y. It prevents the cable from chafing the cover on the exhaust Y.

I'm now at the stage where I'm installing the drive. I have it on now and am draining the oil.

Now I need to adjust the shift cable, which I understood needed to be done with the drive on. I watched Chriss' video on how to adjust the cable and am wondering if I need to remove the upper and start from there or seeing as I never removed is the procedure the same without removing the upper. Am I making any sense? In other words, can I just adjust the lower as described in the video and good to go?
