Shift and thottle cables.

I'm looking into buying new shift and throttle cables for a force outboard. My question is, are both the shift and throttle cables the same length? Is there a formula for measurement? Thank you.

Pull the old cables and measure them. There is no magic formula.

In most cases the cables are the same length.

Look at the cables ends for part numbers, the last digits are usually the length. Or remove the cables from the motor and measure to the remote control. Thank you GA_Boater. My old cables have no numbers on them, worn off? I'll measure them up going by the link that you posted.
