shear pin

what size of shear pin does my 3.5hp viking take model 34021.There is one there but it's rusted and i don't want to touch it until i have to.

To me the one that is there just looks like a rusted old cotter pin.Is this what they used on this motor.

Get that cotter pin out and take it to the big box store. Look for brass rod about the same diameter, find what fits and cut your own from the rod. Or, find a Johnson/E-rude dealer who carries a good stock of shear pins and figure out what fits.
