Is there a site where I can search (lookup) the hull/serial number of a boat I just was given for free?
I'd like to get any specifics on the boat.

Thank you in advance and sorry if this question has been answered before. I search the forum and did not fine anything.

Thanks again

Re: Serial Number Search

Welcome to iboats.

IF the boat has a Hull Identification Number on the transom (usually in the upper right corner on the outside) then it was built from the early 70's or newer.

The hull Identification Number then can be looked up on the USCG MIC database http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic1.aspx which will lead you to the manufacturer.

If the manufacturer is still in business then you can contact them.

Re: Serial Number Search

The guy that gave it to be said it was an 1971 Winner 18' tri hull but from looking around, I thinks it's got to be a 17' Winner Bimini tri hull (not an 18ft').
Thanks Bob_VT
