Serial # MIA

I just brought home a 1989 Chaparral 178, 3.0 litre 181 CID, 130 hp The sticker on the valve cover says sn but their's no # there I need to purchase a manual but need the sn any place else to look???

Since it's an 89, that would be Service manual #10.
