Serial # location on Chrysler outboards

I am looking at buying a Chrysler outboard but the serial number plate on the bracket with the serial number is faded. Is there anywhere else to find the serial like on the engine block?

I am looking at buying a Chrysler outboard but the serial number plate on the bracket with the serial number is faded. Is there anywhere else to find the serial like on the engine block?

The plate location is on the mounting bracket and it’s faded so I was wondering if there was any other way to get the serial number.

What does the cowling look like? Does it say the horsepower? You can try comparing it to others online?

I got the number after getting the serial from the owner.

The Chryslers had the ID plate riveted into the bottom of the lower cowl, front left.
