Re: Seats fly open

The factory now has a bungee strap with a hook that works and looks real good. Tracker/ Bass Pro customer service should supply the kit at no cost

I'm still under warranty so I'll be contacting Tracker.

Thanks for the info! :D

Re: Seats fly open

I finally made it back to the dealer with the seats that had the straps. They did not ship the parts to the house but did allow me to pick them up
at no charge. Below are the part #'s, I will post pics once I'm at the PC, currently posting from phone.
These should be tracker part #'s

Strap - 159175
Hook - 01795

Hope this helps.

Re: Seats fly open

Can you post a picture of this new strap installation? I went the velcro route 2 years ago on my Q4 but I'm still not satisfied.

I have not installed these yet but was able to get some pics from a boat on the showroom floor. Hope this helps. Once I have them installed I will post some pics of the install.

Pictures were rotated to the left after submitting, don't know why. Bottom of the seat is to the left, you should get the idea.

How did the install go and most importantly did it solve your problem?

I ventured out to my local Bass Pro and they were unaware of any solution. What they did give me was a strap similar to the one on the fishing seats to hold them closed (the SF owners will know what I'm talking about).

Long story short, I took the sales manager over to one of the new 2010 models and showed him the solution that Tracker has put in place. He then proceeded to order the part and I am eagerly waiting for it.

Re: Seats fly open

I have a 2007 Q7i and had the same seat problem since I first got the boat. While getting ready for this season my mechanic looked and said the latch was misaligned. He moved the "top" part that sticks down about 1/8 - 1/4 " forward (towards the bow) and it caused that part to seat deep into the spring loaded ball bearing receiver. Sorry I am making up names for parts but I am describing them the best I can. Anyway this totally fixed my problem. I have towed the boat at 65 - 70 with not cover and the seat stays shut.
