New 2024 Pioneer , took home about month and half ago. Black sealant around the center console is starting to crack and has some voids in it already. . I assume this isn’t normal? What would my best course of action be , self fix or contact dealer/manufacturer

Yeah I just sent them a message . This is my first center console. Is this an urgent type repair?
It’s not urgent unless it’s leaking

Have never seen black chalk used in a boat.
Don't think UV resistant chalk is available in black either

If the dealer does fix it, make sure they don't just lay another bead of caulk around the edges. The proper fix is to unbolt the unit, raise it up a couple inches and put the sealant under the flange. When they drop it back down clean up the excess squeeze out.

I have a bad feeling about a new / BRAND NEW ? Or a new boat used as a DEMOSTRATION boat by the Sales Department. It happens all the time.

Not like an automobile where the dealer is limited to miles in order to call it new or used. There are times a boat sits for a year or two before being sold, but still sold as new !
