Sea King identification

A friend just gifted me a Montgomery Ward's Sea King 6 HP. I can't find an identification plate on the leg or bracket. How do I determine the make, model & year of this?

Posting a picture might help.-----Possibly a Chrysler motor.

It probably is. Looking at photos online it's a mid-70s Chrysler-made VWB model in a particularly ugly wet sand color.

Sure looks like a Chrysler.----Looks like it got very hot.----Compression test should be done.-----Looks like there were wiring issues as well.

It's a Chrysler......call Franz Marine....he can probably help with model info and parts.

It's a '74 and a parts manual has been ordered.
