Ever wonder what some of these screen names mean? Seems alot of them are are pretty self-explainatory, ie: first names, hobbies, etc. (mine is the name of my boat) but some are just, well... unique i guess. I was curoius as to the meaning behind a few of them.

ilmostro99 -
My first motorcycle was a Ducati Monster bought in 1999. Il Mostro = the monster in Italian. ilmostro was taken when I first tried to get it as an email address, thus, ilmostro99. The bike is long gone now and I have a Ducati 996S now, but the name has stuck.

Re: Screen Name?

At my first job, I worked with my grandfather. He was knicknamed the "Iron Horse" because of his work ethic. When I got there and had a similar ethic, they knicknamed me "Iron Pony"..........which eventually got shortened to just Pony.

The knickname has stuck with me to my current job. District staff even calls me by knickname........its wierd.

I'll have my coffee black no sugar. :D

Vlad, of all the monikers I've seen on this board, I think I admire yours the most :D

Mine, as well as my avatar is from a Vietnam war era fighter jet that I have the dubious pleasure of still attempting to perform maintenance on.

Re: Screen Name?

Born and raised in Maine, spent many years away living all over the US, and tried to return after 35 years only to find that politics and fiscal policy forced me to move next door (in exile) to New Hampshire. Hence "mainexile".
