Hello there!
I am new to to aluminum.
It is time to add the anodes to her hull.
I know it needs to be under the waterline, but where?
Thanks

Do you keep your boat in water....yes or no

If no, not needed

If yes, look up the calculations on surface area to determine where and how many anodes you need

Since we can't read your mind as to what you are working on. That is the best answer that can happen at this time.

Oh! I am sorry!
I am reviving a 1977 16' Starcraft.
She was in a very bad condition.
After a year of working on replacing almost everything inside,
- Sandblast the hull and properly paint it
-redo everything electrical
-add new batteries and fuel tank,
she is coming back to life.
Thanks for the info, and no, she will stay dry.
There was an anode before, I just did not know if I needed one.
Thanks again.

if you are not keeping it in water and you have proper bonding of everything and your boat is painted. no anode needed.
