S/n 50hp 2 stroke Mercury

Can't fine where s/n is on this 50hp 2 stroke think it's early 80's or so. Have a 79 that I can't see one on that one either.

The 82 40hp has it on the bracket that the motor turns on.

Where is a good place to start?
