Here is a thoughtful apolitical piece about Vlad's, (the KGB guy, not our [iboats] Vlad), Bears. Please note the comment about demographics. Pat Buchanan had a book about demographics "The Death of the West". I'll bet demographics will be a big topic within ten years and will have PROFOUND effects on yer lives EVERY ONE OF YOU!!

How does it compare to ours, hmmmm?

It is as disfunctional as Cindy Sheehan, man. Like I'm supposed to lose sleep over the russian bear now? Reagan took care of them in the eighties. It's now nothing more than a cold war boogie man in the closet.

....finally someone hit the nail on the head. Thanks 12. Russia has no ability or interest in invading anyone. They can't afford it even in the most remote sense. They have another 25+ years of digging to just approach getting back in the game.
To have a few Russian's flying around....who cares...leave 'em alone, they aren't anywhere near stupid enough to even think about invasion or that old piece of cold war failed science.
Now...North Korea....thats another story. Keep an eye on that nutbar.

Good reading points, perhaps not so much as to what the Russians can do militarily, as to what they can provide to our other adversaries.
