I have a 98 DF60 4 stroke fuel injected outboard motor. Operated recently: was running great until i accelerated...quit and wouldn't restart, had to be towed in. Before quitting it ran great then acted like it had water in fuel, added dry gas & new fuel. Again idled rough & stalled out, then wouldn't start. Cleaned fuel filter at back back of engine. Changed plugs, ran better, but has a miss in it. Operated for appx 45 min, felt like it has a miss, but would intermittently ran smooth for several seconds before changing idle, missing & running rough.
While running rough, it would then even out (whether accelerated or not)...then run rough again. Is there another filter that needs to be cleaned? something else ?
