Running new speaker wire

I bought a 1995 Four Winns Horizon 190 bow rider last year knowing it needed a new stereo receiver as the seller took out his high end unit and kept it. I bought a nice new Kenwood unit. I realize now that he also took his speaker wiring with him too. The boat has 8 speakers. My question is simple. The receiver mounts in the dash on the starboard side. How do I get the speaker wires to the port side speakers? Run them under the floor? That seems the shortest distance. But how do I do that? Seems silly to run speaker wire all the way to the back/transom and through engine compartment to get to a speaker a few feet from the receiver. What am I missing?

you run them all the way to the back of the boat, then up the port side gunwale, or you run them up to the bow and then back down the port side gunwale

unless fourwins put a conduit under the floor (which they didnt), there is no way to run wiring under the floor as the corners of the floor are the bottom of the hull.

You can run them anywhere you can find a place to run them. I can almost guarantee you there is no way to run them under the floor. Like Scott said, either go around the front or around the back.

This got me thinking.
With all the wireless (mostly bluetooth) home speakers these days, do they make some that will work in a boat?
I dont see why not.
I dont see what the difference would be besides maybe being a bit more resistant to moisture.

Nothing that you would want or would last. You still need to run a power wire. Running a speaker wire is cheap and easy.

True.
You can wire the whole boat in a few hours and it's not difficult.

Reminds me of the outdoor security cameras.
They still need power. Although there are some now that have batteries that last a pretty long time.
