Rubberized Non-Skid Paint Questions

I'm thinking about painting my swim platform with rubberized non-skid paint versus getting it re-gelcoated. I'm leaning toward using Interlux. Has anyone used this? How does it hold up? How does repainting it look and hold up?

Wouldn't you want the swim platform to have some slip ?

Look into Durabak too.....or gorilla grip.
