I lived in that area working for Buddy Davis. Got to be tough to withstand the weather conditions. Best wishes to rodbolt and others.

Maybe you should load those cats and dogs in the truck and head for the hills! That's a big, mean looking storm! Wouldn't want to wake up tomorrow morning hangin' out of a tree! Take care...

Re: Rodbolt/Hurricane Earl

no worries I have lived here on and off all my life, seen some biguns, seen some media hype.
my estament some ocean overwash,certain.

however that wont affect me.
may get some 70+ wind gusts.
house can take it.
may have a power outage of a few days, no worries my genset can power up the entire house for about 4 days, longer if we shut down the upstairs A/C.
about this time tomorrow I will be putting a jon boat over to inspect everything.
either that or me and cousin henry and anty Emm will be in currituck county.

Well, try not to get killed, cause there'll be a lot of broke motors that won't get fixed without you around!

Re: Rodbolt/Hurricane Earl

Hope you do not loose power for too long, We have lost it here at my house on the Texas coast for well over a week at a time on different storms and it becomes unbearable, esspessialy during the clean up. I even had a generator stolen in the middle of the night with it running and tied to the deep freeze and fans in the house.
Best of wishes for you and others in the path of the storm. Always best to find high ground and get away from the high winds and tornadoes.Easy to come back and clean up after everything is over
