I am new to this fourm and I am enjoying all the great advice. I just bought a 16' starcraft sf 16 dlx last week and I am redoing the whole boat floors, carpet, electrical, etc... So as I was getting the floor out I had to remove some rivits from the boat hull above the water line. These rivits are not pop rivits they are solid and look to be pounded and then cut off on the inside. I am now looking for the same rivits to replace those rivits. So does any one know what they are called, where to get them, or how to properly replace them?

Also there are a couple of leaking rivits where a person dented the hull and I am also looking to replace them permanently. Which rivits are the right ones for this job? I have been looking at the bullfrog rivit repair kit and I was wondering if it was any good?

Ayuh,... That "Kit" is the Right idea, but Waaaaaay overpriced...

You can source the pieces, 'n have more of 'em, cheaper...

Google aluminum closed end blind/pop rivets...
