Re: Right turn on Red ?

When was the last you guys kicked a door down at 3:00 am and when some body pulled a gun to defend himself you guys kill him but, what,,, you got the wrong house,,, :D

That happened not long ago just up from the road from my house. They busted in and the homeowner thought it was intruders. He shot several times before they filled him full of holes. All of a sudden now there is nothing anywhere being said about it. BTW, it was over stolen property that was not found at that residence. Go figure? Now mom has two boys and a baby girl to raise without a father. Now do you think the sheriff's dept will volunteer to help with those boys? Not a chance in my opinion and no effort has been put forth. I know of a 10 and 12 year old now that has a lot of hatred for law enforcement. I feel that there would have been many other ways of checking the residence out rather than a night time raid.

Back to the Right on Red. My bud went to court yesterday. He said the judge didn't ask him anything and dismissed the case. The judge said school was not in session during that date/time and right on red was perfectly legal.

Re: Right turn on Red ?

And ya I had trouble in the navy to. Was an E-1 2 times, E-2 2 times, E-3 1 time and made it half way to E-4 all in just over 4 years and wanted out. Too many chiefs and not enough indians as they say. Spent the first 2 years trying to get out and the next 2 trying to stay in { had a young chief set me down and explain to me how to play the game }. I've done 60 days with the jar heads in a ship board brig back when they were called red line brigs { thats why your jails don't scare me }. And ya I'm proud as I can be because I had a lot of fun doing it { seen a lot of Japan while awol...LOL }. But when I wasn't locked up you can bet they put right up there on the flight deck pumping jet fuel every time so ya, if you live in the U.S.A. I earned the right for you to pay for my medical. Now as far as the rest of it a piano fell out of a semi trailer on me and messed my back all up and I didn't want to jump through the governments hoops to get any money out of them so I got by the best I could even to as far as the last job I had I only worked 3 days a week cleaning a shop { I assume most of you have never felt pain in your back so bad you couldn't stand up long enough to take a shower and have to be picked up out of the floor }. I buggered my back in 1989 and didn't except any help from the government untill I had my heart attack in '03. Then I had to go on food stamps because the doctors, friends and family didn't even want me working 3 days a week and now they are doing their best to get me on S.S.I. but you can belive me the last thing I want is the government looking over my shoulder and telling me how to spend my money. And if you give it to me its mine. I can't rent you a house and then tell you so and so can't come over 'cuse I don't like him. So Terry if you live north of the border you have nothing to worry about. If you live down here call your congress person { by the way tell them about all the convicts they let out of prison and put on S.S.I because they are "crazy",,,I know a few that are as normal as every one else,,,just look scary when they want to }. So ya I'll screw the system, after all don't uncle Bush want to give some of that money to illegal aliens,,,oh wait thats undocumented workers,,,ya thats right. I'm sorry if I'm smart enough to take advantage of the system but at least I didn't come from another country to do it,,,I was born here and all I speak is ENGLISH and a little red neck,,,LOL......ANIMAL :p

Animal, you aint the only one that fixes old boats,,,,,,thats all I can afford and I enjoy working on them. There are lots of other members here that do the same thing. Ex Navy here also and I can understand where your coming from. I would rather have my taxes help people like you vs the illegal ones coming across the border.

I have a daughter that has a very bad back. Pain clinics, documented by doctors that she cannot be on her feet, but she too is fighting tooth and nail to get SSI while others fraudently receive it.

Re: Right turn on Red ?

Ya I might have worked under the table for a few of those years { after I blew my back out,,,even had a couple of real jobs along the way } but at first I was helping a 'NAM vet { navy medic walking trails with 1st air cav } that got paralized after he got back and after him I was a live in provider for a quadrapaligice { can't spell it } quad that was bed fast { try laying around in bed 24/7 with no choice,,,used to take his check book any where in town and write checks with one phone call }. If you don't belive me about what its like go visit yer local old folks home { hope I die before I get there } and ask them what its like to not be able to get out of bed 24/7. The quad went or fell { drunk } over an 80 foot cliff into the water while home on leave spending his reup money { going for his 2nd 4 }, broke his neck and was unlucky enough to live for the next 20 or so years. The first one got ran down and backed up over while rideing his HARLY, the bike stopped over 100 yards from where they found him,,and they never found who did it or who stole the HARLY out of his granny's back yard { broke his back in 2 places }. They were both navy men and I did with out a lot when ya I could've been working real jobs then and be in a wheel chair,,,they wanted to do that last time I tried a real job and blew my back out,,, to help take care of them, stayed with both untill they passed on. So I could care less what any body thinks about me. I do most of it to get them stired up { like they pointed out, anybody can type anything }. If I could figure out how to post pics I'd show you the 1953 and '58 Scott-Atwater 7.5 hp's and the 1958 35hp Evinrude that cost me a couple of hundred baby tick bites. Well worth it, the 'rude will turn over and has compression but all need restoreing...ANIMAL :D

Re: Right turn on Red ?

I didn't ask or plan to get my back hurt and I darn sure didn't want no heart attack, before that I didn't support a corupt government but it didn't support me ether. I used to be one of those undocumented workers that did jobs no body else wanted because they didn't pay or you had to travel all over the country. You people might want to think about that next time youu go to a concert, a ren fair, we are not all mexicans and don't all pick fruit. Where do you think the people came from that put on that ren fair you just went to or are waiting for. I don't care what you say or what you do, IT TAKES ALL KINDS....ANIMAL :D

Re: Right turn on Red ?

Well I guess Terry doesn't want to come out and play tonight, must have had a rough day at the office. Cool name MAYFLOAT, I know where there is a '60's something RAZORBACK but its been setting on the ground for a lot of years and about 1/2 full of pine needles but its mine if I drag it out. All the factory hardware is still there even down to the speedo so if nothing else somebody will want the hardware. I might be interested in tradeing the '53 scott to get the '58 rude going, needs the carb and linkage...ANIMAL :D P. S. Hope the best for your daughter. My lawyer told us that it would take 2 1/2 to 3 years just to see the judge { great system,,,kill some one and see how fast they move }. I told her it was like money in the bank.

Re: Right turn on Red ?

I like most of the cops I have met. Most of them are professional and truely believe they are improving the communities in which they serve. Most do. Some are jack offs. Same can be said for bums, salesmen, teachers, priests, football players, mechanics, factory workers, etc.

Stating that all cops will be shot on sight, or their badges are targets for snipers, or they are stupid, or whatever BS spews forth is rank stupidity. I thank the cops for their service and if one gets carried away, everyone has recourse. Although in the big picture, I would rather plead my case with a cop than some judge if I was looking for a rational discussion.

I don't know a person who doesn't resent rules. I do. I also understand that they are needed to live with each other, and therefore someone has to enforce them.

As for the right on red, that is why we have courts.

Re: Right turn on Red ?

Every time somebody says Bush they want to put MBA after it , just what the h#ll does MBA stand for "Must Be an ***". That doesn't make him smart. It just proves his daddy had the money to keep him in school till he got it. If you look real hard you'l find that Daddy Bush made most of that money being part of the system that keeps us tied to OIL { we paid for Jr's ed through the gas pump}. But wait, wasn't it Daddy Bush's money that got Jr in the big house any way. I'll bet that with in 8 years we will have another Bush on the ballot and the scary part is he'll probly make it { I'll start voteing when they put none of the above on the ballot and start letting US vote on the laws instead a group of people that think they know whats best for me }. We are in a holy war { which the government gives a different name, they don't like Holly War, it scares to many people } that the Bush's and Chaney started all because they went over there, found a bunch of oil, built refinerys and what not { remember a company call Halaberton that they all owened }, Then they got their butts kicked out and now the public gets to pay for it. The Bush's hope no one remembers....ANIMAL P.S. You voters are the ones that keep the oil men in power, my one little vote amounts to less than a drop of water in a flood, but if every one quit voting what would they do?

Re: Right turn on Red ?

Animal, are you posting for rank?

Is that you in your avatar?

How do you vote without an address?

MBA = Masters of Business Administration.

Freedom of speech usually means freedom of political speech, and it has no standing in a private forum... But I am sure you can say anthing you want to here in the bowels of the DC as long as it is within the boundries of polite speech. You can't yell fire in a crowded theater, you cannot threaten people, you can't say about 500 different words on TV, and you cannot question anyone's patriotism ever, even communists. (I just found this out myself)
