Went out Sunday night with gas motor. Opened right up. Didn't push it since it was dark. My fishing buddy caught a few catfish and I lost one before I got it to the boat.

Monday got out for a few hours. Beautiful. Hit 42.something in some chop. Caught 2 smallies. Both pretty small. Very satisfying moment with dry bilge after 5 trips out on the water. Fishes great. Now just gotta get more fish on the boat. Still got some wiring to tidy, tach to finish hooking up but couldn't resist the decent weather.

cheers!:D:fish2:

Cold!!!!!! But a blast of a trip. Caught one nice bass. Only caught 2 fish in 1.5 days.

Caught this guy with all the gear packed in the boat heading back to the ramp to go home. Glad I don't give up.

Yeah something about this year has been brutally tough to catch fish. Being out on the water and running the boat makes it worth the while though. Looks like a great place to camp, is that a boat in only camp?

Yessir! Makes it fun. Reservations only 12 a night or 85 for the week. I'm hoping this weeks warm weather has fish back to theirselves. You're right just being out on the water makes the time well spent. Watched ospreys and eagles getting dinner while we cooked ours over the grill. Nothing better than that!

Took boat back out Monday night for a few hours at the river. 1 small channel cat. Cold fronts got them jaws locked shut! Today and tomorrow nearly 80 forecasted hoping maybe get out for some LM in shallower water.

Some my argue and some may disagree but I'm all in 100% on dumping that Asian motor for a V4 Rude! :thumb:

I don't even like to type the name of that other motor  I'm a Merc man but love the V4 Looper power and sound.

It was a risk I had to take. 3 hr road trip one way. Compression tested 120,120,125 125 so I figured the rest was workable. Didn't have time for test run. Guy made me trade with cash on his end. Power TNT works. Gotta finish rigging but got her fired up. I'll do some maintenance things on it and hopefully run it for years to come. :thumb:

Out at electric lake only. Hooked a few more switch to stiffer action rod. Better hookset. Lost a really nice one in the weeds

I think it was the main beam of a sandcastle. Or used as an anchor  some of the J/E guys said seen it before. Its because low water pickups and people are uneducated how that works and use their lower unit to keep anchored in sand bars. Idk I'm a fresh water Fisherman basically. Only boated the bays when I was a kid.
