restore old gell coat

i have a 1987 bullet bass boat that my father left me after he passed away. the gell coat on the inside of the boat is completely gone, but is still pretty good on the outside. does anyone know how to go about putting on new gell coat on the inside and is it a project you can do yourself or is it best left to a profesional? any comments and advise greatly appreciated as i would like to restore this boat because it was my fathers.

Inside gone ? what do you mean .. down to the fiberglass gone ? or looks toasted..

re gellcoating a boat is somthing you really dont want to do...

however....restoring gellcoat is not that hard.....

as yd said.....we need pics......but chances are good that you can just do a good cut polish using farecla and a proper polisher.....and it will be shiney and new.
