Resto/Rebuild 24 ft. Party Deck Boat

My brother just got his hands on a boat hull for a 24ft. "Party Barge". Since its not a pontoon, I'm going to say that its more of a deck boat. Anyway, it's been stripped out and needs a new deck and all the hardware.

I haven't seen it yet but as soon as I do I'll give you more details, pics, ect.

Would any of you have any tips for a new boat owner who's going to be doing a "restoration"...well, I'm actually going to be building from the hull up?

Welcome to iboats!

Read through the restoration forums and the completed boat projects.

Post some pictures and we will give you some advice and tips. Sounds like a big project.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll get the pics up as soon as I get to go visit my brother. He's got the boat at his house about 1hr. away. I've got to find some kind of trailer to move a 24ft. deck boat.

It'll be a big project but the great thing is that it'll be a family project. My wife grew up on Lake Texoma and so she's really into this.
