I am not sure I am posting this question in the right place. I have a 2000 26ft paramount powerboat that I am just about finished reconditioning. I want to put a pair a engines on her. Want something that will give me all around proformance, hole shot , cruise with fuel economy and good top end. Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Might want to consider 4 strokes in the same brand that came off, to reuse the controls, guages, and rigging....what was on it?

No rigging. Bought the boat without engines and reconditioned the boat.

So you'll need to buy new guagues, controls and rigging, which will add to the cost. What kind of budget do you have in mind?

Thanks Peter, I checked out the Hondas but the only problem is they are 30" shafts and I need 25"s. Thanks for the help thought. Appreciate it.

I found a pair of low hours 175 mercury verado 4 strokes. It is a the bottom of the hp range that I would like to use buti thi it will push her pretty good and the fuel consumption should be nice as well. Anyone have any experience with them or any thoughts at all. I will appreciate any and all input. Thanks guys
