Thanks Guys you were a great help in rebuilding a 74 Sail boat and now I have another project boat. It is a 19 ft Cajun 1900 ultra. it has some soft spots in the floor and I am going to pull out the console this weekend and get into the floor and check the stringers. I need to know a couple of things. What thickness will I need to replace the floor I was thinking 1/2 or 3/4 CDX wrapped with fiberglass and did not know which would be better. Also, The foam in the bottom is most likley wet also and I need to pull it out and replace it. Any suggestions on what foam to use. I searched foam and cam up with enough to confuse. Thanks Danny

deck thickness is a matter of personal preference. 1/2" will get the job done especially if fiberglassed. I put 3/4" decks in both my projects and love the solidness of it. 5/8" would be ideal if you can find it. I'm no fan of pourable foam for aluminum hulls bit for your glasser it's probably the way to go. Check U.S. Composites. for that.

Thanks
This is the first restore for a boat with a floor and stringers. I have been looking at using the foam insulation and think that may be the route I take. I will be starting on the boat next week I will post pics and I am sure relying on the advise of the rebuild gods on the correct way to do it.
