I have a bunk style pontoon trailer and need to replace the boards.I don't know how to remove the boat to do this. because I live 25 miles from the water so i can't just drop it in the lake. What can I do?The boards are rotten.

Welcome to iboats.

You are going to have to jack the boat up and support it....... or bring the whole rig to the lake with some corldess tools and do it at the ramp.

Is the trailer a tube bunk or center bunk style? The tube bunk type would be better done (IMO) at the boat landing well out of the way of others during a week day evening. Followed by a trip around the lake after the work is done.

Ayuh,... Like Bob says,...
Jack,+ block 1 side of the hull, Replace the boards on that side of the trailer,...
Then do the same for the Other side...

Re: replacing board on trailer

Jacking the boat up worked for me and my flatbottom. It also allowed me to tailor the bunk mounting brackets to align the bunks to the hull. Of course, that's a 14-ft. aluminum flatbottom.

A 22-ft. offshore deep-V was different story. I took it to the boat yard and paid to fix the bunks. I too am too far from the water.

Bottom line, know your limits.

Thank You all for your input I'm going to try to jack up one side at a time to replace the boards.
