Replacement Cables

[88 Capri (2022 SOTY)]

Hi all,
I have an 88 capri 1750 BR and wanted to ask if anyone would know replacement cable part numbers for the throttle and front shift.
I've been looking around and in worst-case scenario I measure and identify the connections but wanted to ask anyway. The ones I currently have are red which like the rear shift was an upgraded version from original but I only find black casings so I'm unsure of the quality so to speak. Just wanted to make sure.

Post a pic of what the ends look like. I just bought new cables for my new shifter setup and went with 33C cables, and they are red.

Hi Todd,

The first pic is the throttle OMC 2.3.
I did my best trying beind the side panel. There is an attachment point where both cables are side by side but can't get a clear picture of it so I don't know what may or may not be part of the cable itself.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

There is a number stamped in the casing. remove the cable and look.

Shift and throttle cables are specific to engine type. What do you have? MerCruiser?

You can use run of the mill Type 33C/3300 cables with an adapter. Seastar solutions CA27320P for your OMC 2.3L

I have a 1993 Evinrude 28 spl. It had tiller steering. How can I determine the part number? And where can I find one? I've looked at diagrams till my head hurts. No luck Thanks
