Replace kill switch or bypass?

Still can not find any kind of label with the year and serial #. But I have been looking at Force motors from google images and my motor definitely looks like a 96-99 completely different from the 90-94 motor ( I still don't know what is up with the 1995 motor, but that still looks totally different from my motor) So I think I'm going to order a new used flywheel to replace my damaged one along with a stator for a 96-99 and try that out. Thank you

So, from what I researched about my Force motor, this motor is definitely not a 1994. From all the images I have looked at, my motor is a 96-99

Yes, the CDMs are the black "coil packs" that have the spark plug wires attached to them.

You can use a multi meter to measure the resistance of the stator. It should read between 500 - 700 ohms between the Green/White and White/Green wires. Make sure that you disconnect the stator wires from the wiring harness before measuring resistance, otherwise other components may skew the readings. If the resistance is in specs, and it doesn't look like any physical damage to the stator itself has occurred, the chances are good that it is OK.

Based on the pictures, it looks like you probably have a Mercury lower unit which makes it possibly 1996 or later, but that's just my thoughts. Not 100% sure.

I'm still trying to figure out why the 1994 Suntracker pontoon I bought has a 96-99 motor on it ?

The magnets are pretty chewed up. I ordered a flywheel from ebay along with a stator and voltage regulator. When everything arrives, I'm going to install these parts along with the new kill switch and begin testing the CDM units. I'll update by the weekend. Thank you for all the advice.
