Re: Replace a VRO pump with a standard fuel pump
It's funny I had the same thing happen to my 1999 johnson 50 hp, my pregnant wife had to be the fuel pump for several miles (she loves to tell that story) I replaced it with a 400.00 vro pump brand new, took it to the lake and it acted the same way, took it back to dealer (he refused to believe the brand new pump was bad and hooked a portable tank to it to repeat the problem, after repeating he refunded my money and I bought a simple non vro fuel pump and motored happily ever after, amazing that the original vro and the new replacement vro both were shot!!!
