It was acting up again late yesterday, but with it locking up there was no way to report it.

I've been messing with it for a couple of days on my end. I don't run ad blocker on my Mac as Safari has one kinda' built in. Over the weekend Safari started locking up, and that's been my "go to" browser. I thought it was because of where I was and my internet connection, so I waited until I got home ... Both home and office gave me the same problem and I started reading the forums in Chrome.

Chrome isn't doing the same thing as Safari, but it is having problems here and there and appears to be Flash and Java related to some plugin.

Nobody's sure of what's going on just yet, but something's whigged out.

toneeees, then you need to make sure your script is not calling more than once, the redundancy on here is really getting frustrating, we don't need a script like that, we all know where to go to buy parts and redundant code is often times a real problem with browsers, you need to write code for the lowest common denominator.

The script is only called once, after the page has loaded. The script is meant for new members and guests that are viewing the forums from a search engine. Only one of the 3 new buttons is for sales, the other two are for educating.

I too am still having an issue with it freezing and the keyword script is disabled, we will be enabling it again later today and take a closer look at the ad scripts to see if any changes were done recently.

Still occurring, this time on a new computer (Firefox, Win7) that has not accessed iboats before. Seems to be locking and producing the unresponsive scripts message on every page load.

Right before it hung, I saw a progress note in my Win screen that said it was transferring data from some address that includes "securepubads.g.doubleclick" in its URL.

Hope this helps track down the issue...

So I went into work this morning and found I did have adblocks pro on my computer. I was still getting the script errors.

I uninstalled Adblocks Pro and reinstalled the newest version. Now, no more ads and no more script errors. :)

Running Safari this afternoon - again just the native ad blocking - and things are going swimmingly right now.

I was until about 10 minutes ago. I installed Adblock Plus for Firefox and I haven't had a single lockup/script error since.

I just accessed this thread via Chrome, then attempted to open Iboats forum with Firefox. It stalled on trying to access "googleleads..." as noted in the lower left of my screen. I'm apparently still able to access and respond to this thread from Chrome, but I did have it stall in Chrome earlier today. - Grandad

I'm using FF right now and it's working the same as it's been all week.
(everything works)

I am convinced if you have the current version of Adblock Plus, you won't have issues. If you see ads on the right, you will have issues.

OK. I've been using Chrome for the few minutes since I posted #50 above. It was going okay, then stalled while loading "r1.ace.advertising.com". I do have Adblock, but have had it turned off for the last couple of months for Iboats. Maybe need it back on again if nothing improves. - Grandad

It just stalled again after closing and reloading Chrome. It stalled at waiting for "b.scorecardresearch.com". I think I'll give it a rest til tomorrow. - Grandad

Safari started locking up again after about 2PM ... Chrome hasn't given me any real problems since early this morning. I haven't tried FireFox.

Yeah. I still have no problems. I have only used Chrome a few times on Windows and after using it on Linux I switched back to FF. The addons didn't seem to work as well as the Firefox addons.

Safari on my iPad was brutal last night ... Could not post at all (could not open any page at all ... 10pm Eastern). This morning it is working okay with only a few glitches when opening new iboats pages ...

Thanks guys, you all are doing great at helping us find the problem. It appears to be one of the ads, I will talk to our Advertising department and see if they can view any new ads that were added to the rotation.

Absolutely no problem on the laptop with FF and Win10. iPad, still very quirky.
